POVERTY IS NO SURPRISE. Through powerful images on TV and online, we’re reminded that poverty is an everyday reality for billions of people. POVERTY DOES NOT ESCAPE OUR ATTENTION. Our challenge doesn’t come because we don’t know about poverty –our challenge comes in knowing HOW TO HELP. The problems seem so overwhelming that our part can feel so small. Poverty is pandemic, our help feels limited.
We want to give everyone a chance to make a measurable difference in the world. We believe that by many doing even the smallest things, many people in need can be helped.

Beautiful Feet has made a way where you can intentionally help those living in severely impoverished conditions. One of the everyday challenges that millions of people face is the lack of something simple that we take for granted:SHOES.
BEING BAREFOOT CAN BE DEADLY. Broken glass, contaminated needles, animal waste and carcasses, rotten food, dirty water – we can’t imagine having to live and walk through these. But for millions, this is a reality.
BEAUTIFUL FEET believes that the solution is right in front of us – well, right under our feet. WE BELIEVE THAT, TOGETHER, WE CAN BRING SANDALS AND SHOES TO THE FEET OF MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN ACROSS THE GLOBE.
Through donations and proceeds from sales of Beautiful Feet merchandise, we send shoes and sandals and offer hope to people living in unimaginable conditions. By supporting Beautiful Feet, you will be helping someone who cannot help themselves.
Ryan founded this non-profit when he took a mission trip to La Chureca, Nicaragua. The sight of all these little kids playing in the trash dumps barefoot where all sorts of diseases exist was enough for him to see the need. Upon arriving back to the States, Ryan drafted up some letters to some major manufacturers he did business with and then within weeks of those being sent out Cobian Sandals replied. Cobian immediately jumped on board and began by sending 3,000 pairs of sandals. Since this first shipment, the shoes have travelled to Nicaragua, Panama, Mexico, Ethiopia, and Haiti.
Shoes are only one way we can help, the main focus of our humanitarian effort is to spread the Gospel of Christ to those living in darkness and help those who cannot help themselves in the following three areas:
LA CHURECA
La Chureca is the municipal dump outside Managua, Nicaragua – the poorest country in Central America –which is home to hundreds of families. Here even small children work all day, barely finding enough food for a meal or items to sell to provide for their families. Many doing this barefoot. These children are in desperate need of rescue from rape, abuse, neglect, addiction, and prostitution. We are committed to helping those who cannot help themselves.
THE MOSSY FOOT PROJECT
We work with The Mossy Foot Project throughout Ethiopia, helping to educate, treat, and prevent the debilitating disease, Podoconiosis (Mossy Foot disease). Mossy Foot is a non-infectious type of elephantiasis that manifests itself as a massive swelling of the feet and legs. Caused by microscopic fibers in the soil that penetrate the soles of bare feet. There are over 1 million people in Ethiopia with the foot disease –which is 100% preventable with only a pair of shoes. We are committed to the eradication of Podoconiosis in Ethiopia.
THE AQUALIFE PROJECT
In conjunction with the BCE (Belizean Children’s Effort), we operate an orphanage in Flowers Bank, Belize. In addition to housing children in need, there are fish ponds that hold over 25,000 tilapia that are sold on the market to support the home. Through new techniques in aquaponics, we are creating a self-contained system to raise fish and grow vegetables for self-sustainability that can be taken to other areas of the world.
